Sneaking off midweek to watch Nottingham Forest play.
The attempted gang warfare with the Tollerton Village posse and always talk of the Cosgrove battle - never happened.
Alcohol experiments in locations various.
The Cricket, Athletics and the over-competitive football.
Smoking in various precarious positions around the estate - Roof of Mill Lane, Roof of Tower... Seemed to be roof of anywhere?
The dabbles into the occult.
The plotting processes of trying to make the annual bonfire explode.
The TV sessions of TOTPs, Old Grey Whistle Test & the Tube.
The swimming pool - the shallow, arctic temperature and associated Cholera and Malaria risks.
And the Welsh Geography teacher who used to bounce wooden board rubbers off your skull for little or no reason?
The punk rock scene in Nottingham – Thanks Paul.
The Animal Liberation meetings – Thanks Paul again.

I was a weekly boarder, but in the latter years actually stayed most weekends as that was where I was happy.
There was a little academic education running parallel with the things above, but I never bothered to address these necessities in life until I left the College for good!
Now in contact with Paul Cross, Andy Marshall and a few others. There is a Facebook group, all old pupils are welcome to join called "st hughs college", which is inferior quality to John's expertly design, however may contain some "uncut" material.
Love, Peace & Happiness, Martin Hagues.
