Phil Coupland 28/ Movie nights in the Ref………..very exciting, but crap films; and TOTP on in the Mill Lane common room…equally exciting, more regular and Pan’s People (say no more !!!)
9/ Bonfire night in 1973…..fire still burning till around 2am
10/ Fishing in the lake and the stream near the swimming pool where one of the guys caught a 3 pound tench
11/ Cricket trials (probably just indoor practice really) at Trent Bridge
12/ The Bingham bus trip to the Sports Centre and the whole bus either singing or abusing some hapless bystander en route
13/ The swimming pool filled with spring water which was bloody freezing and a strange colour too….but we loved it anyway
14/ Fights (some a bit one sided) in the squash court…….more in the crowd than for squash games !!
15/ Adrian Markham, Des Meagher, Steve King and John Handford from Charlie’s year (he must have joined in 1967 or 1968)
16/ Edmund King, Andrew Yurksaitis, Roger Boot, Richard Beech, Gordon McQuade, from my year who joined in 1969 and most of whom left in 1974 aged 16
17/ Eugene Ahern, Dominic King, Alan Fahey, Chris Fay, Simon Brown (my cousin)
